Mea Culpa.

It seems the I've set the permissions in some forums wrong, meaning that some posts had to be moderated (which I consider censoring) and thus did not appear on this forum, until I logged into the Administration Panel (Sorry Kram!).

If you detect more errors, have problems on registering, changing account data, or anything administrative, hang me right here.

 You know, after your THAT late reply, I was going to ask you, if you could deactivate that strange behaviour which surely would get highly annoying, as soon as there are more active users ;) :P
I thought, it was on purpose xD

Well, about Forum Problems: I'm not sure yet - maybe I was blind before, but I didn't see the possibility to reply under every thread.... Gotta confirm that first before I tell you that for sure...

Oh and: Great design match :D
I actually don't like that greenish greyish colour usually but for some reason, I don't mind here. It just matches great :D

Edit: Ok, now I'm sure: I can't post or start a topic in neither "announcements" (where I'll probably only want to post, which I can't as said^^) nor "bug reports" (where I should post that actually... d'uh? xD)

Yet an other thing: could you please add a quick reply thingy?
post reply is for advanced stuff only, I'd say... quick reply would be enough for a post like I'm just writing it...

Yeah I thought that design fits much better, the previous one was also just too heavyweight. I think I'll lift the greenish backgrounds up a bit, making them whiter. Thanks at this point to Daniel St. Jules of http://Gamexe.net, who has made this skin (not just for me ;) ).

The forum "announcements" is reply-only on purpose as it's the place were picogen developers report releases for discussion.

Under Bugreports, there are two subforums: "New", which is (or should be) read/write for everyone, and "Classified", where reported bug get moved to if sighted by a devel. But obviously it (the subfora) wasn't obvious, so subforum design in phpbb 3 is still not perfect. Just to get bug-reports, I think I'll make it writable, or try to at a big fat message in red, telling ppl what I just told here.

Do you have an example of quick-reply in a phpBB forum?

well, Indigo afterall also has a(n older version of) phpBB-forum, I think.... There, quickreply works fine...
Btw... isn't there a diffrerent solution against spam-bots? because reading that random code hurts the eye (and isn't actually easy to read... 2nd try...)

Maybe, though I dunno how calculation-expensive that might be, check if that exact same message already was written somewhere else and forbid the repost? :ugeek:

I configured the Turing-Test to be a bit harder because of the recent spam-bots that registered up to the forums, but then, as long as it's manageable, maybe I lower the difficulty again.

The repost idea is nice, indeed, but then I would have to annoy the MySQL database with a full text string comparison for every post in this forum. Okay at the moment, but once picogen (and this forum :D) will have more users (...), it could really stress the system.

Anyways, I will lower the Human Detection Requirements a bit.

About the quick reply, I have also seen one on devmaster.net and now know what you mean. I will see later if there is such an addon. AFAIR, Indigo was a vBulletin board, right?

Okay, I have found out that there are quick-reply addons, and addons for better turing-tests. Now I only have to find a little bit of time :D

btw: when I said: "simplify", I actually thought, I was logged in, without being.
It's perfectly fine to torture guests. If ppl have longer-term questions/interest, they should log in^^
What ever you did sofar was a horrible mistake xD
Several random users which just post random texts without any meaning and one user posting hundrets of random mp3s...

botraid. investigating

update: bloodrush. they. are. no. more.
update2: guests can from now on only reply to topics. we will see how this will work.

Also, I have seen that I incidentally set the "Reply Only" role to "read only", which was wrong.

So, for now, being seemingly save, let's go back to the picogen-project: I'm already VERY curious about redshift :D
